SEN Achieve – Summer Update

It is the start of the summer holidays, and what a year it has been.

Despite the current SEND laws being in place since 2014, parents across the country are still told things which conflict with the law. Many parents are still not listened to. Many parents are left feeling that they are in the wrong. Many children are still not provided with what they need. Many children are still left isolated, and without the support which they are entitled to by law. This is all so incredibly wrong, grossly unacceptable and incredibly hard for parents and their children.

As it is the summer break, try to take a moment to enjoy this time if you a can away from the demands of term time. Enjoy the moments with your children, and cherish every second.

I always say to parents that, whatever happens and unfolds, and whatever nonsense you are told, thank goodness your children have you.
