Formal Complaint Service

The current SEND legislation has been in place for 11 years. Despite this, so many parents are still left in a position where their local authorities are not abiding by the legally defined EHCP timescales, or where their children have EHCPs but their Section F provisions are not in place. This conflicts with the law and is unacceptable.

Laws exist for a reason, and abiding by them is not an option.

In response to demand I therefore offer a Formal Complaint Service for parents.

The service which I offer relates to writing a formal complaints to a local authority in response to the following:

 

• EHCP timescales being breached

• Section F provisions not being secure

• Children not being provided with an education whilst unable to attend school.

Formal Complaint - £220 to £290 - this includes the following:

​

1. Discussing your case with you - 1 hour.

​

2. Reading all of the relevant documents and reports relating to your child. 

 

3. Writing and then editing the complaint - the formal complaints which I write make clear reference to the law, and are typically 3,000 to 5,000 words in length.

4. Discussing the response to the appeal with you and advising you on your next steps - 1 hour.
